A day in New Jersey

We had a great day today. My friend Matt and I went out on one of our photography excursions not knowing what we would find today. We started at Forsythe NWR in Absecon NJ at sunrise. We just about started on the first part and saw lots of fishing terns, and egrets. Carried on around to find herons and snowy egrets and bugs! we were getting eaten alive by sand flees and mosquitoes.. Mental note, next time bring bug repellent... We went around the drive a few times and took many shots as the sun was just right. Then we headed close to Cape May to here http://www.njwildlifetrails.org/DelawareBayshoreTrails/Sites/tabid/440/Scope/site/Guide/DELBAYSH/Site/3/Default.aspx and we saw a giant rockery full of cormorants, herons, egrets.. As well as eagles and a ton of ospreys. This spot is barren and way away from anything but very quiet.. no people. We got some of our best osprey shots here and from a natural nest as well as nesting boxes. Another 1000 clicks later we headed back to forsythe to find a very tolerant red tail hawk and 600 shots later we went on to get some of the golden hour light....
All in all a great day out....
